When you don't feel good about your hair, you don't feel good about yourself. Growing up, I remember never being truly happy with my hair. It never seemed to do what I wanted. I thought of my hair as something that needed to be tamed. Saturday was hair washing day and was my least favorite day of the week.

One day it hit me that trying to fight my silver hair was a losing battle. The color wasn’t adhering the way it used to, and I was tired of it.  To make the grow out more subtle, I dyed my hair blonde and stopped coloring it from there. Around the same time, I cut my shoulder-length hair really short, so it was a much easier and faster transition to silver.
